no grudges bio

EPK:

Few people meet their writing partner—and the love of their life—at a high school assembly, but Gabriel Castellar and Crystalla Gonzalez are anything but ordinary. Gabe, a dynamic guitarist and producer, and Crystalla, a powerhouse vocalist, bonded over a shared love of Paramore, No Doubt, and Red Hot Chili Peppers, and have been making music together in New York City ever since. Since 2011, they’ve brought their signature blend of rock, punk, funk, and soul to stages across the city—first as LTrain, and now as No Grudges.

No Grudges was born in the depths of the pandemic. While quarantined together, the duo found themselves not only navigating a new chapter in their lives, but redefining their sound and identity. The name No Grudges became a reflection of that fresh start—channeling growth, resilience, and forward momentum into songs like “To the Top” and “Put It Together.”

With a DIY spirit and a guerrilla-style approach to promotion, No Grudges built their audience from the ground up. From busking and park performances to consistent online content and live shows across New York City, they’ve created a growing community around their music—one rooted in authenticity and connection.

Crystalla gained national recognition for her powerful vocals performing “Just a Girl” alongside Gwen Stefani on NBC’s The Voice, while Gabriel has performed with the band Outernational, featuring Chad Smith of the Red Hot Chili Peppers.

Their latest release, “Evil Eye,” marks a bold new chapter—blending edgy rock energy with themes of protection, perception, and personal power. The band is currently in the studio gearing up for their debut EP, continuing to push their sound forward while staying true to the raw emotion and connection that define No Grudges.
